Doris Jean Fields

Mrs. Doris Jean Fields, age 85 of Flower Mound, Texas, formerly of Griffin, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2015. Mrs. Fields was born in Spalding County, Georgia on October 2, 1930 to the late Pinkston E. Smith and the late Florrie Milam Smith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Richard Fields; granddaughter, Christi Jean Bailey; son-in-law, Jerry Bailey; sisters, Martha Peek, Barbara Landers, Louise Patton; brother, Wilbur Smith. Mrs. Fields was a pastor’s wife, who dedicated her life to serving in many churches, Brooks Baptist Church, Pinegrove Baptist Church, Fairview Baptist Church, Vineyard Baptist Church, in which she was a charter member, and Providence Baptist Church. Mrs. Fields was a current member of First Baptist Church of Lewisville, TX. Survivors children, Donna and Judge Camp of Flower Mound, TX, Daniel and Kay Fields of Bloomingdale, GA, Diane Bailey of Cartersville, GA, David and Marie Fields of Molena, GA, Damaris Walters of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Neil Camp of Lewisville, TX, Amanda and Derl Robertson of Flower Mound, TX, Carl Blevins, Jennifer and Brent Evans of Griffin, GA, Sheila Ann and Andrew Roberts of Bloomingdale, GA, Jessica Bailey and Brandon Charbonneau of Canton, GA, Richey Bailey of Cartersville, GA, Allison Bailey of Cartersville, GA, Brandon and Laura Rogers of Concord, GA, Kelly and Zach Johnson of Shreveport, LA, Taylor Fields of Molena, GA, Mathew Gordy of Griffin, GA, Dustin and Meaghan Gordy of Thomaston, GA; great grandchildren, Presley Robertson, Chase Robertson, Brody Robertson, Eli Robertson, Kelsey Robertson, Lilian Camp, Dagen Hayes, Taylor Simmons, Kaitlin Chatfield, Jonathan Chatfield, Hailey Blevins, Christian Blevins, Drake Blevins, Amanda Blevins, Riley Bailey, Jaxon Bailey, Natalee Rogers, Ashlee Rogers, Tanner Gordy and Addison Gordy; great-great grandchild, Alayah Willis. Visitation for Mrs. Doris Jean Fields will be on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
