Faye McCall Boles

Mrs. Faye McCall Boles, age 87, of Griffin, Georgia formerly of Jay, Florida passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2011. Mrs. Boles was born in Jay, Florida on November 12, 1923 to the late James Sidney McCall and the late Bessie McArthur McCall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Boles, son, David Boles and brother, Myron McCall. She was a lifelong member of the Community of Christ Church in Berrydale, Florida, where she served as a minister and pastor for several years. Mrs. Boles taught home economics for 32 years in Santa Rosa County School System. She loved to cook, read, listening to and playing music and was an avid gardener. Mrs. Boles enjoyed spending time with family and friends in the Santa Rosa County Area. Mrs. Boles devoted her life to children and education, spending many summers working at Vacation Bible School, the Bluff Springs Campground and church summer camp. In 2004 she moved to Griffin to be near family and attended the First Baptist Church, Griffin, Georgia. Mrs. Boles is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Diane Boles, granddaughter, Daysha Grace Boles of Griffin, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jo Ann Boles of Independence, Missouri; sister-in-law Nathia McCall of Jay, Florida; nephews, Tom and Barbara McCall, Sid and Brenda McCall and John McCall. Memorial services for Mrs. Faye McCall Boles will be conducted on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bramblett Chapel of First Baptist Church. Dr. Bill Hardee will officiate. Mrs. Boles will be carried to the Jay Funeral Home in Jay, Florida, where a funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Jay Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Berrydale Community Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Jay Funeral Home.
