Jimmie Lee Thompson

Mr. Jimmie Lee Thompson age 70 of Griffin passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. Mr. Jimmie Lee Thompson was the first son born to the late Mr. Levirgil Thompson and Mrs. Lynwood Thompson on March 23, 1941 in Brooks, Georgia. He attended Fayetteville High School. He later in life devoted 14 years on his job as a foreman at a Poultry Produce Company. He joined Macedonia Baptist Church at a very early age. Proceeding in death is one lovely daughter, Ms. Linda Thompson and one brother, Mr. John White all of Griffin, GA. Mr. Jimmie Lee Thompson leaves to cherish in his memories a very devoted and lovely wife of 50 years, Mrs. Mary Dorothy Thompson; one loving daughter, Ms. Francine Thompson and Ricky Smarr; four sons, Mr. Timmie and Dortha Thompson, David Westmoreland, Ronald Thompson, Kenny Thompson all of Griffin, GA; three brothers, Reverend Jessie White, Mr. John White, both of Griffin, and A. J. White of Cincinnati, Ohio ; three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie White, Mrs. Doris Davis, Mrs. Ruby Davis, all of Griffin, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren, David Westmoreland, Ricky Smarr,Jr., Timothy Thompson, Arita Westmoreland, Jessica Smarr, Lasonya Thompson, Marshall Westmoreland, Lakendra Smarr, Breeanna Thompson, Deon Smarr, Keara Thompson, Alexander Thompson, Tabitha Henderson; twenty great-grandchildren; a host of very special friends, Bobby Ison, Mr. Johnnie Lee Cooks (bka Sport); Jyrone and Tyrone Street, Quintavous Turner, Byron Watts, Alton Montgomery, Gary Reid, Marshall Blandburg, Barbara Blandburg, Carlisa Raglan, Mary Redding; two special nieces, Ms. Felicia Driver and Ms. Canessa Driver, Darmeshia White; special nephews, Mr. Barry White and Mr. Daryl White; special family Michael and Phillip Braswell; Mrs. Queen Thompson, Mrs. Carolyn Blandburg, and Mrs. Barbara Louise Love. Visitation for Mr. Jimmie Lee Thompson will be on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Jimmie Lee Thompson will be conducted on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
